Cromizards look like small, anole-like lizards. However,
they have a brightly colored crest that they can flare up or contract into a
small dark-green ridge. They appear mainly a slightly dark blue with
bright, rainbow colors all over their bodies. They are generally placid and do
not attack unless provoked, though doing so usually has little effect due
to their weakness. They mainly eat fruits and berries, with some low
growing plants and an occasional insect. Cromizards are not very powerful,
however due to their bright colors and limited magical abilities they are very
popular as pets. Often young children may be given one as a special
gift.

COMBAT

Ray of color (Sp): Usable three times per day, as per the spell of the same name cast by a first level sorcerer.

Prestidigitation (Sp): Usable once per day, as cast by a first level sorcerer.

Racial Traits: A cromizard can flare its crest to grant it a +2 racial bonus to an intimidate check. A cromizards bright coloring gives it a -10 racial penalty to hide checks.

Note: Baby cromizards can only use Ray of color once per day, cannot use prestidigitation, and their bite does ¼d4 damage, rounded down.

TRAINING A CROMIZARD

Cromizards are prized as pets. A cromizard egg has a market value of _gp and an infant cromizard has a market value of 500 gp. Taming a cromizard requires a successful handle animal check (DC 11) and takes 1 hour, but if unsuccessful may not be attempted again for 1 day. Each day one trains a cromizard requires a tasty, exotic fruit costing 1sp on the market, but found in most tropical forests with a wilderness lore check (DC 15).
