Violetjays are beautiful birds with a shiny purple feathers on their backs, indigo wingtips and sky blue undersides. The females have a dark green head while the males bear a colorful silver and red crest. Violetjays are benevolent creatures, fluttering through the forests and singing its little song to bring joy to all who will listen. Although it desires to help others and do good, its intelligence and strength limits its capacity somewhat. Usually it just tries to fly over and use its song to help inspire good adventurers and carries bits of food like berries and nuts to starving or hungry people. A female violetjay lays about 3 to 7 pale purple eggs with light blue speckles at a time. These eggs sell for 1gp on the open market. COMBAT Birdsong (Ex): A violetjay can sing a beautiful melody (as a bard would playing a bardsong) to give all companions a +1 moral bonus to attack rolls and will saves. While singing it cannot take any actions other than moving and defending itself.
