Filcher Spiders are the produce of an unkwown wizards experiment in hybridizing ethereal creatures. The Filcher Spider is a cross-breed of a Ethereal Filcher and Phase Spider, creating a very bizarre creature. It appears as an overly large Filcher but with it's four arms missing and it's sensory organ swept back onto it's head. Instead where it once had just one leg it now has eight. They still have their Filchers pre-disposition to steal things, but because of their Arachnid blood do so in a less subtle and lot more violent way.
COMBAT It shares predatory and felonous instincts as one. Once they sense a creature on the material plane, they shift from the ethereal and deliver it's poison to let it do its work before it closes in and steals it's victims possessions. Ethereal Jaunt (Su): A Filcher Spider can shift from the Ethereal plane to the Material plane as a move-equivelant action (or during a move-equivelant action). The ability is otherwise identical to ethereal jaunt cast by a 15th-level Sorceror. Poison (Ex): Bite, Fortitude save (DC 15); initial and secondry damage 2d4 tempory constitution. Detect Magic (Su): Filcher Spiders continuously detect magic as the spell cast by a 5th level Sorceror. A Filcherani can suppress or restart the ability once per round as a free action.
