Gothfara are a unique race, set apart from others that live underground by the fact that they were magically created. They were slaves to the Drow, and only freed themselves a few of their life spans ago, about 2,000 years ago. Originally created as slaves by the dark elves, Gothfara are now the primary predators of the drow. Their hatred of the dark elves runs deeply, and the majority of their race spends most of their time hunting down drow. As they were created to do things that drow werent good at, such as melee fighting, the Gothfara are experts at using the drows weaknesses to their advantages. While they arent evil, they dont have the inborn need to do good as most enemies of the drow do. Gothfara speak undercommon and elvish, although some speak common as well. Gothfara can only be mistaken for drow at first glance. They have dark skin and pointed ears like the dark elves, but the resemblance ends there. They are often over 6 feet tall, and are heavily built. Despite their size, they can move quickly, and have agility that most wouldnt expect from them. Several short horns stick out from their heads, going from the sides to their foreheads, but not on the backs of their heads. Their eyes are yellowish, and often glow in the dark. They have no hair.

COMBAT
While Gothfara are primarily melee fighters, that doesnt mean that they havent picked up a few tricks from the drow. The most common tactic is to sneak up on their enemies, using the darkness to their advantage. Then the mages, if they are present, will usually cast light spells to daze the enemies. At this point the warriors charge, and that is mostly the last thing that most drow (or anyone else for that matter) remember. Gothfara show no mercy for drow, although they do occasionally take prisoners of other races. Sometimes they work with dwarves or elves to hunt down drow or other underground monsters.
Spell-like Abilities: Gothfara have a few spells that were built into them from their magical creation by the drow. They can cast Darkness, Mage Hand, and Telekinesis once per day with a caster level of the Gothfaras level. The drow felt the need to have their slaves cast Darkness, mostly to save other drow the trouble of doing it. The Telekinesis and Mage Hand spells were mostly to move objects around, as Gothfara were used to build structures and haul goods from city to city in peaceful times (mostly whenever the drow werent actively attacking someone).

GOTHFARA SOCIETY
Gothfara live in a military society. The most powerful are the commanders, but these rarely live long, as they often go off and have wars against the drow by themselves. Gothfara can work in groups, but they are solitary by nature. Importance in Gothfara societies depend on the fighting abilities, and the number of enemies that have been slain (primarily drow). Gothfara rarely live in cities, since they are constantly on the move to kill more drow. A few semi-permanent dwellings exist near drow cities, but not many. The only major Gothfara city is Tekmalue, which most drow have regular nightmares of. The inhabitants of Tekmalue regularly all pack up and leave, travel to the nearest drow city, and depopulate it, before returning to their homes. As part of religious festivals, groups of Gothfara destroy as many drow as possible in one day, and there are often competitions of how many drow can be killed by a single warrior. Gothfara share the same lifespan of the average high elf.

GOTHFARA CHARACTERS
Most Gothfara are rangers, and a good many are fighters. Some are magic users, and these are normally specialized in offensive spells, or spells that create light.
